Your privacy

What we collect

When you request a quote we collect your name, phone number, email address, the ZIP codes you're moving from and to, your move date and home size. If you call or email us, we keep what you share so we can help you.

How we use it

• To prepare your estimate, schedule your move and keep you updated.
• Quote requests are sent to our booking system, HelloMoving, which we use to manage estimates and jobs.
• Your personal information is used only for moving coordination. We do not sell it.

Communication & data privacy

• Phone numbers provided for SMS notifications are not shared.
• Personal information is used only for moving coordination.
• If you tick the SMS box, we may text you about your quote and move. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help.

Analytics and cookies

We may use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this website, for example which pages are viewed and whether a quote form was sent. It uses cookies and does not tell us who you are. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on. Our maps load street tiles from OpenStreetMap.

Moving policies

Cancellations

• 72-hour notice is required for cancellations, so we can adjust schedules efficiently.

Rates

• 3-hour minimum charge; after that, billing is in 15-minute increments.
• Double drive time and gas fees apply.
• The hourly rate includes movers, truck, equipment and basic insurance.
• Packing materials are charged based on use.

Customer presence

• The customer or a designated representative must be present during the move, so every item is accounted for.

Payment

• Payment is due in full upon completion of the move.
• We accept major credit cards (Visa, American Express and Mastercard), Zelle, Venmo, cash and money orders. Credit card payments carry a 4.9% processing fee.
• A deposit may be required for moves at the end of the month or on weekends.
• The name on a credit card must match your ID, and a signature is required.

Additional work

• Extra services may be rescheduled based on availability.
• Previously scheduled commitments are prioritized.

Item restrictions

• We don't move unsanitary or unsafe items.
• Children and pets must stay clear of the moving area.

Non-routine moving

Kobe Moving is not liable for damage caused by:

• Standing items on end
• Tight spaces or sharp turns
• Overcrowded areas or difficult stairways
• Adverse weather conditions

Hazardous materials

• We don’t transport flammable or hazardous materials.

Damage claims

Claims must include a detailed description and photos. File a claim online at mymoveclaim.com.

Limits of liability

• Every move includes basic valuation coverage of $0.60 per pound, per article. For more protection, contact Movinginsurance.com.
• We are not responsible for customer-packed items (such as jewelry, electronics or firearms).
• We have no liability for the mechanical or electronic workings of items.
• Items in your own vehicle or in rental trucks are not covered.
• We are not responsible for damage to soft flooring.
• We assist with disconnecting and reconnecting appliances only, with no plumbing or electrical liability.
• Major appliances must be emptied.
• Pressed-board or simulated-wood furniture (including IKEA) can't be repaired.
